Education Trumps Ignorance
Nonviolence Trumps Violence
Kindness Trumps Cruelty
Compassion Trumps Speciesism
Caring About All Beings Trumps Being a Meat-Eater/Vegetarian

Some people have the false belief that vegans think they're better than others.

Well, just as not all meat-eaters have the same personality, or cows or chickens or fish or pigs for that matter, true, there are some asshole vegans. There are some people who fall into spiritual materialism (vegan or not), and somehow start to believe that their beliefs are the only ones that matter. Anyone can get preachy and intolerant of anyone else.

Not everyone is well-adjusted or able to handle the stress of seeing so much exploitation and death around them, while maintaining a calm demeanor. I wonder how many abolitionists in slavery times were labeled “Angry Abolitionists” by slave owners and profiteers. Or by the consumers who paid much lower prices for products that were made and processed by slaves.

Ironically, it's meat eaters who often think that they're better than vegans, as well as better than the animals they choose to have slaughtered for their taste preferences. At the very least, they believe that the life of those animals has no value greater than their (the meat eater’s) taste preferences. They tell themselves things, life, the hierarchy of the food chain, the cycle/circle of life, lions though. #omnivorelife [insert eye rolly face]
Cow’s Life < My Taste Preference
Pig’s Life < My Taste Preference
Chicken’s Life < My Taste Preference
Fish & Sea creature’s Lives < My Taste Preference
Dog’s Life  < My Taste Preference
Cat’s Life < My Taste Preference
Human’s Life  < My Taste Preference/or Religious or Political Beliefs

Yes, there are people and places where cats, dogs, and even humans are eaten for a variety of reasons. Would you date a cannibal? Are you a cannibal?

If you connect to all life, and feel that all life is one, then eating animals feels like cannibalism.

When you're a vegan >>❤ in your heart❤ <<, you understand that you are not better, more entitled, or more “Justified” to “take” or end anyone's life for your pleasure, profit, or gain.

Some people “go vegan” to lose weight or for some other reason that has nothing to do with true veganism.

Some people give up going vegan because they feel that they've lost their muscles or they're sick or their addictions and Cravings are too intense and they can't handle it. It’s “too hard”, “too much sacrifice” or they just don’t feel like changing or being different than others or different than how they once were.

I've long believed, since childhood, that some people just are wired to enjoy flesh, while others are wired to make the connection with living creatures, thus deeming it impossible to enjoy their flesh because, how can you eat your friends?

But does being “wired” to like or love the taste of another creature’s flesh entitle us to have it? There are lots of things I like the taste of, but for health reasons, or moral reasons, or environmental reasons, or reasons related to living nonviolently, I have “given up” these items that I used to enjoy.

So back to the idea that asshole vegans feel better than meat-eaters and my beliefs are right and yours are wrong….Am I RIGHT for believing that animals have a right to their own lives that outweighs your tastebuds? Are you RIGHT in believing that animals are here on earth for your pleasure, profit, or use that considers only your purpose and not their needs, rights, comfort, family bonds, right to life and life itself? Yes, that’s a biased question, the way I worded it. How would you word it?

Yes, I believe the purpose of animals on earth is for human’s to do with as they please? Yes, I believe animals are a form of food that just happens to talk, walk, think, act, feel, love, suffer, feel pain, have family, fight death, and all, but they are basically vegetables. With faces. And blood. And lifespans that lasts decades longer than, let’s say, a carrot. A carrot, which grows and then has a small amount of time when it is ripe and edible. Then it rots and becomes inedible organic matter again. Yes, I believe, an animal is in the same category as this. Huh??

“I just want to enjoy all that earth offers.” ~ Meat-eater comment justifying consuming animals.

But is Earth offering you this? Is Earth offering Pussy Grabs to anyone who wants to enjoy the fruits of pussy because it’s here on Earth so therefore, they are entitled to grab it, despite the wishes of the pussy owner?

And equally the meat-eater/vegetarian is entitled to completely control the life of the animal they wish to procure something of, whether it be their mother’s milk, their menstrual cycles, their skin, or their flesh or ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Maybe you don’t eat or wear any of that stuff, but you still visit zoos and circuses and aquariums for “education”. Believing that looking at a caged, imprisoned animal for a few minutes, while they spend their entire lifetime jailed, teaches you and your kids anything worth knowing about them. Rather it teaches that any creature can be enslaved, caged, and stared at for our entertainment, disguised as “education”.

Take one minute to really learn anything about any of those creatures, and you will know, that FIRSTLY, they don’t want to be enslaved and those cages or tanks are not it’s HOME!

Do you think that slave owners, and slave-made-products-consumers felt that Abolitionists had a “right to their opinion” but also ought to have, “respected their right to their opinion.”?

So you truly believe that animals are here for your use? You just see the world this way and people like me, vegans, are self-righteous, preachy, and need to just stop?

Hey, you respect my right to eat what I like, grass and shit and whatnot, so why can’t I just respect your right to eat what you like, flesh, and mother’s milk, and periods and shit?

Because I believe that humans are not the only beings who have a right to LIFE. Because I believe that personal choice is personal:

Definition of personal
1 :  of, relating to, or affecting a particular person :  private, individual
2 a :  done in person without the intervention of another; also :  proceeding from a single person
b :  carried on between individuals directly
3 :  relating to the person or body
4 :  relating to an individual or an individual's character, conduct, motives, or private affairs often in an offensive manner
5 a :  being rational and self-conscious
b :  having the qualities of a person rather than a thing or abstraction
6 :  of, relating to, or constituting personal property
7 :  denoting grammatical person
8 :  intended for private use or use by one person

Where in here does it say, personal choice is extended to the life, safety, happiness, and conditions of ANOTHER? It doesn't, because it’s NOT personal once it stops being about YOU and starts being about ANOTHER BEING. Even definition 2b :  carried on between individuals directly, could never mean, one person killing another person/creature. That's carried out by one person, company, or industry on a victim, an unwilling participant in a cruel and vicious act tied into a pretty bow of delicious, humane, sacrifice of life, for your gluttonous pleasure. Eh? Eww. And No!

Spend a little time with any creature and see if your heart is untouched.

In this world people stand in awe at the beauty of a swallow, a wren or a finch. You can stand outside watching and hearing the beauty of a little bird, then take a bite of a chicken’s breast or thigh and swallow it?!

bird barn_swallow_1.jpgchicken.jpgeating chicken.jpg

You can appreciate the beauty of a deer, then bite into the flesh of a cow? Maybe you’ll eat the deer too. But a gazelle! Ahh such beauty! Such magnificence!

You can glean the specialness of a whale, or a dolphin, yet eat a dead salmon, tuna, crab, lobster, trout, bass, cod….shall I go on?

Some of us can see the absurdity of the concept that a pale-skinned person’s life has more value than a tan-skinned person’s life, or a deeply bronzed-skinned person’s life. Some people spend hundreds of hours and dollars to bronze their own skin, while believing that naturally dark-skinned people have less value in this world.

There is so much hypocrisy it really does make one’s head spin!

Oy vey! Get educated!! Get Compassionate!!

That’s right bitch, I said it! If I seem to lack compassion for meat-eaters and vegetarians, what I lack compassion for is willful ignorance. Refusing to acknowledge the value of other life forms is very difficult for me to feel compassion toward. But my hope is that by showing others how important all life is, through a variety of forms, will open their eyes.

Sometimes my opinion is biting and bitchy.

The past few days has sparked my impatience because so many people are in a rage about the Hillary Clinton/Donald Trump election, with Trump as the so-called winner.

The violent speak, intolerance, and hatred being thrown in every direction from every side is disheartening. There is SO MUCH LOVE AND TOLERANCE if only it would be extended to all as a daily practice!

I believe this election calls out the out-dated system which seems to have malevolent intentions that wish to skew a system in an unfair advantage to a certain group of people already benefiting unfairly from the exploitation of others. Yes the actual candidates may be unfit and undeserving of office, but the system in place is unfit to serve us.

Just as the system of Carnism, which so many still can not even see exists, serves a select few in a group that profits from the exploitation all of involved, but themselves. That's the worst part of this whole system! The very people fueling it and keeping it alive and thriving, are the ones suffering from it's existence. Carnism. Capitalism. 2-Party systems that are really 1-party systems. The belief of freedom while caged in your beliefs.

That’s my Lovely Opinionated Vegan Evolution L.O.V.E.

L.O.V.E. Let’s Go Vegan!!

Y'all Mother Fuckers Want to Talk About Peace, Give Up Entitled Cruelty Bullshit!

Do you believe you're entitled to take a life because you like the taste of that being's flesh? Do you believe it's yours to “take” and if you don't “take it” you're “giving it up.” What a sacrifice!

Do you believe your taste for someone's flesh entitles you to pay someone else to take their life?

Or maybe you’re a hypocritical, ignorant vegetarian (like I was) who won’t eat flesh, but has no issue eating mother’s milk and menstrual cycles of certain animals. Pretending or blinding yourself to the massive cruelty, pain, suffering, and death those "products" cause in equal or greater measure as "meat." Selective caring. Some people label themselves "vegetarian" but still eat all manner of fish and other sea creatures, as if they are not animals, as if they do not love, suffer, and feel pain.

Do you think it's wrong to grab someone by the pussy just because you're a star and you want to, (or even if you’re not a star)? Do you think it's wrong to take something out of a store that you didn't pay for? Do you think it's wrong to kill someone because they've upset you? For fucksake, some people think it's wrong to take a seat on a train from someone else! Yet, at the same time, can also believe that they are entitled, to take someone's LIFE!? Most of the time, people believe, they are entitled to pay someone else to take someone's life (out of sight), because they prefer the taste of their flesh?!

It was never “yours" to take in the first place. You have no right to their life. You're not “giving up” anything, except cruelty, speciesism, killing innocent beings, destroying the planet you live on, health problems, and unbelievable levels of violence >> on a massive scale >> on a daily basis. If you think giving up that stuff is too much… maybe we really are different species after all.

But still, You deserve your life, as all species do.

Being one “type” of human doesn't make you better than other “types” of humans. And being one type of animal doesn't make you better than other animals. Oh yes, humans are animals too! Why do people believe that they have a right to kill another being just because it's a different shape or color or has a different level of hair or fur? Cause you like the taste of their flesh?

Y'all mother fuckers want to talk all about peace, not allowing violence and hatred to be the ruler, but from this vegan-point-of-view, it looks like violence, speciesism, thinking you're better than others, thinking that some life has more value than other lives, is ruling most people's minds, no matter who you voted for.

If you're out there paying for violence, so you can enjoy the taste of someone's flesh, I call hypocrisy! You think only humans matter? Or only the humans that voted the way you did? Or only the humans who live nearby you? Or only the ones who have the same religion, same skin color?

Humans are animals just like all the other living creatures on this planet. If you truly want to stand up, speak out, live and show up for nonviolence, love, acceptance, kindness and peace, start with your breakfast…(add lunch, dinner, snacks, desserts)...

How anyone can stand here, chewing on the flesh of an innocent being, while spewing intolerance and hatred against what they claim is racism, intolerance, hatred, entitlement, “white supremacy”, what about human supremacy? Speciesim, the belief that the life of some species has more value and/or rights than other species.

Just, being someone, who was indoctrinated into a way of life, doesn’t justify continuing to perpetrate crimes, violence and cruelty on others. To continue violence. Hey, some people were raised to hate this color skin or that color skin. Some people were raised to hate this religion or that one. Lots of people were raised to eat these animals but love those. To see these animals as food and other animals as beings worthy of respect, protection, companionship, idolatry.

Some animals are deemed loving, kind or wise. Others are considered food. Others are evil, or dangerous. Animals representing various "human" qualities, whichever each particular society choices, with variations everywhere. Most kid's stories are told through animal characters, with varying personalities and traits, ranging from the best to the worst. Animals and humans, all creatures living on this planet, deserving equal consideration for life, space, freedom, the right to the pursuit of happiness in their own manner, free from domination, violence, and control by another group of creatures.

Do you not believe that people born into violent societies, who have beliefs different than your own, when it comes to, women's rights, circumcision, child marriage, slavery, sex slavery, arranged marriages, forced covering of hair, head, face, and/or body, sects of religion promoting violence on others, do you not believe these people ought to rise above these indoctrinated beliefs and just "SEE" how incorrect they are? To just "KNOW" better? To be able and willing to SEE JUST HOW terrible and violent and unfair these practices are?

Or ought we be "tolerate" of violence, oppression, and cruelty worldwide because, "that's just the way they do it over there?" Should we speak up, peacefully, nonviolently, but firmly and with conviction? Against practices of exploitation, cruelty and violence in our World?

When it is YOUR turn to honestly look at YOUR society's practices that may be cruel and violent and destructive? Or to look at your own personal practices that are promoting, contributing, and directly causing pain, suffering, violence, cruelty, torture, and death to so many lives, human and nonhuman? Or destroying our Earth?

When is it your individual responsibility to learn something new. To learn that no animal deserves nor WANTS to be killed for your consumption. That it is WRONG to take their life. It is wrong, regardless if you were raised this way, lived this way for 40 years, 70 years, whatever. The time comes for each person to question what they’ve been told and sold.

wrong rΓ΄NG/ adjective 1. not correct or true. synonyms: incorrect, mistaken, in error, erroneous, inaccurate, inexact, imprecise, fallacious, wide of the mark, off target, unsound, faulty; informal: out "the wrong answer" 2. unjust, dishonest, or immoral.

Especially if cruelty is involved! And the deaths of billions of innocent creatures.

How many cultures can you think of who have cruel practices which you believe are wrong? DO you believe they should somehow JUST KNOW!?! They should SEE that it’s cruel!!! Despite years of indoctrination! They should FEEL the pain they are causing!!! Yet, do you? Do you see the pain you are causing? By eating animals? And drinking and eating their mama's milk and menstruations?

Do You Support Torture? Say, "No!" and Come Vegan

Do you support torture?

Do you know what torture is? Inflicting severe pain on someone, including death. Animals are someone too.
I used to eat dairy and I was an #ignorantvegetarian and I believed the lies I was told and sold. #industrylies

But one day I wanted to be more knowledgeable. I had become vegan, but met with lots of resistance from family and well-meaning people. That sparked my interest in learning more about so-called organic free-range dairy farms. And my journey into education lead me to learn about the torture and suffering that goes into any industry that uses animals in any way whatsoever. In any form. There is no possible way to kill animals without torturing and abusing them. Some people have said to me that they are raised to be killed for consumption and so therefore somehow that makes it acceptable or less terrible. I consider that to be willful ignorance. How can you truly be that blind?
πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™Š

So do you support torture? People wondering how you can give up cheese or whatever dairy product you like, for me it's simple, every drop of dairy is infused with horrific suffering, pain, abuse, and torture. I find it to be some of the worst stuff on Earth. Please ask yourself this honestly, do you support torture?

Even if you're eating dairy and meat while you are reading this, there is still hope! Put it down, throw it away, and make a promise to yourself right now that you will never again knowingly and willingly support Industries and products that bring harm and torture to creatures who are innocent and deserve our protection and love.

When choosing which animal's flesh to dine on, do you ever consider their level of intelligence?

When choosing which animal's flesh to dine on, do you ever consider their level of intelligence?

Does it make a difference to you, the flesh-eater, if it is the flesh of a highly intelligent being, or a less intelligent being?

Does the idea, that the animal you are eating, even has intelligence and the capacity to love, ever enter the equation (in your mind?)

What about in your heart?

Considering there are plant-based options for a tremendous amount of "products", it's hard to imagine how one justifies themselves, as they wrap their lips around the flesh of a loving, intelligent, family-oriented, sentient being, who would love to be your best friend, not your meal.

Pigs are smarter than some 3 years olds. Why does that matter? I think eating "less intelligent people" or "less intelligent animals" would be equally wrong.

I mean, we love people who are intellectually challenged, we fight for their rights to be honored. We urge others to love children when they have "special needs" or have physical challenges. Some of us understand that ALL humans deserve love, respect, safety, and the right to life.

Why do we not see that ALL animals deserve our consideration and love too, not a knife in the throat. 

Melanie Joy has spent decades studying this question, Why do we love some animals and eat or wear others? And it isn't because we are inherently cruel. It's because we have been indoctrinated in these "industry lies" all our lives.

We are blinded by something that keeps us from seeing and feeling the truth, that animals deserve love and respect and their LIVES. Please, open your heart today. I hope your heart breaks enough to let the love in.

“Only time and grace can put the essence of these stories in your heart. Here we recite and learn them and put them on our hearts hoping that some day when our heart breaks they will fall in.” - Jack Kornfield

How To Gain Weight in a Healthful Manner or What Am I Doing That's Making Me Gain? Dr. John McDougall (referenced)

Most people seem focused on LOSING weight, NOT gaining weight. If you eat Whole Oil-Free Plants but you need to gain weight, how can you do it without adding in Oils, Sugars, and other unhealthy, high fat junk foods? Oil is junk food, sorry to break it down. SO here are Dr. John Mcdougall's suggestions for GAINING weight in a Healthful manner.
And IF you are are trying to LOSE weight, check out this list and see what you might be doing that is working towards weight gain and hindering your process. Please keep in mind all Dr. Mcdougall's suggestions are compliant foods, meaning No Animal Products or By-Products of any kind and No Oils.

The following is taken from
July 2003
Vol. 2     No. 7
Subscribe to this newsletter at www.drmcdougall.com
How Do I Gain Weight on the McDougall Diet?  I’m Not Joking!
(Please do the opposite of the advice below to lose weight faster)
Make the Following Changes in this Order to *Regain* Weight in a Healthful Manner. Or do *LESS* of these if you want to LOSE:
1) Eat more whole grain flour products like breads and bagels. Flour is more fattening than the whole grain because the change in physical properties that comes with milling causes faster and more complete absorption of the calories and a great rise in insulin response. (6 to 11 servings is healthy per day on a weight LOSS plan. 1 srvg = 1/2 cup cooked or 1 slice whole grain)
2) Eat more simple sugars in the form of fruits, dried fruits and fruit juices. This will cause a greater rise in insulin in your body. (2 to 4 fruits per day is healthy on a weight LOSS plan, add MORE than this for weight gain) Dried fruits are very high in calories. Juice is not very healthful but will add weight minus some nutrients since blending destroys the nutritional value.
3) Eat more high-fat plant foods, like nuts (and nut butters), seeds (and seed spreads), avocados, and olives. Fats are concentrated calories. (Use these sparingly for weight LOSS)
4) Add high-fat soy milks and tofu products. These are higher in fats. (Use these sparingly for weight LOSS)
5) Eat more high-fat soy foods. However, in general, these fake foods (like vegan burgers, hot dogs, lunch meats, and cheeses) should be kept to a minimum because they are not very nutritious. (Avoid these for weight LOSS)
6) Eat more food – this is often difficult because most people already eat to the full satisfaction of their appetite. Making more delicious meals and taking more time to eat may help accomplish this.
7) Eat a greater variety of foods – new kinds of foods stimulate interest, which increases food intake. (Do this for health in general including weight LOSS) 8) Add salt, sugar and favorite spices to the surface of your foods. If they taste better to you then you will eat more. Plus sugar adds calories (empty calories). (Use these sparingly for weight LOSS)
9) Use salad dressing, barbecue and steak sauces (made without oils and animal products) over your dishes to make them taste better so you eat more. Many sauces also contain simple sugars that provide calories and raise insulin levels. (Use these sparingly for weight LOSS)
10) Exercise less. We all know people who are exercise fanatics and they burn 3000 to 5000 extra calories a day – making it very difficult for them to eat enough food to fully replenish the expenditure. One simple way to gain more weight, and in some ways improve your overall health, may be to exercise more moderately.*
*A note, if you consume lots of unhealthy "foods" (including animal products and oils) you may appear "healthy" if you exercise excessively, but your insides will not be healthy. How we look externally can be a reflection of inside, but weight loss and/or big muscles does not always equate to health. How we look is important but how we feel and how healthy we actually are means much more.

Why Would You Ever Choose To Harm Someone?

Why would you ever choose to harm someone when there are so many compassionate options? Choosing to harm other creatures only perpetuates hate and cruelty in the world. Harming ANY life is a path to harming ALL life. Please consider peaceful, compassion choices as a practice of nonviolence. We are all looking for a nonviolent existence, free from harm. Free from pain. We all have the power to choose kindness over cruelty and nonviolence over violence. It really does spill over into every part of our lives. If you are willing to look away from violence in one sphere of life, it only makes it easier to look away in other aspects of life. Violence is violence no matter who it's hurting. Violence hurts us ALL. Choose compassion for clear conscious. Why would you knowingly harm when you can easily choose not to?

Choose peaceful healthful food. Not violence. Go vegan.

Choose health over illness. Chooses kindness over Violence.

I Hate "Exercising" But I Love Dancing, Walking and Being Fit and Healthy

I hate "exercising". When I think of it in the western style of going to the gym, working out on equipment in a sweaty place or repetitively doing movements that bring me no joy and a lot of pain. I don't exercise like that. I love dancing so I take a dance class once or twice a week. I love to walk so I go for walks most days. Sometimes I can only walk for 20 minutes. Other days I can walk for three+ hours.

I don't have a car so 2 or 3 times a week I walk to the supermarket and purchase as much stuff as I can carry for the 1.5 mile walk back. I consider that my weight lifting.

As a dancer, I think about my posture a lot. I think about the way I bend down, the way I sit,  the way I stand. I take the stairs every single time. I never take the elevator unless I'm going more than 5 flights up. I try to incorporate mindful body movements I can as often as I can.

Don't have the money, time, lifestyle, nor desire to get a gym membership and go to the gym regularly. I incorporate exercise into every moment of my life that I can remember to think about it. I try not to lean on walls, on counters or on anything whenever I can. When I catch myself, I correct myself. With maitre, loving kindness.I sit with my back a little bit away from the back of the seat so that I can use my muscles my strength to sit up straight when I remember. I think about using my muscles when I’m showering, dressing, doing dishes, laundry, etc.

I focus on breathing a lot and I enjoy yoga but I do it at home here and there, from a YouTube video or a book.

Leaping Unicorns Kick Ass!!
It's just the way that I incorporate healthy activity into my life every day. If we don't exercise in some way, we will not enjoy the benefits of good health. But torturing myself is just not my way of doing things, like the ever popular "boot-camp" style workouts. Just sharing because maybe there are many little things that anyone can do to incorporate active healthy activity into your life in a way that you will enjoy. When we enjoy what we're doing we are motivated to continue. I believe it's extremely important for everyone to find at least one or two physical activities that they personally enjoy, that they can learn to love whether it be Dance, Yoga, walking, jumping rope or whatever weird funny thing you can think of. Swimming, pilates, (someone mentioned gardening that requires walking up and down a hill), running, biking, group sports, team sports, solo sports, so many activities to choose!

What did you enjoy as a child?

Not everyone has money to do things but if you do then there's a lot more opportunities for you. So maybe it's something you can do for free at home or something you can get a monthly or yearly membership for and/or take a class if that will motivate you. Whatever is your style but whatever it is, find it. ❤πŸ’ͺ You will really be glad that you did. And the healthier you get, the stronger you get, the more different types of activities you'll be able to pursue and will actually enjoy instead of feeling them tedious.

Yesterday, I saw a mother and her kid, about 10 or 11 years old, walking up the hill. She was red-faced and slightly overweight. The boy was shuffling, walking scraping his feet on the groudnd, super slow, saying he didn't want to, moaning like it was torture and I just felt really sad for him. Kids should be full of energy, running up hills and circles around their moms. But I was not raised to be physically active and I had to find it myself.

The one thing I always did do was walk, a side effect of my Dad’s (selfish, lazy) unwillingness to give me rides, but lucky for me it turned into my savior when, after many years of being unhealthy and inactive, I  rediscovered my love of walking. Even though I was forced to do it, I loved it and other than dancing, it was my only real active habit. Walking, that's what I started doing again at the start of my journey to find health and wellness about 10 years ago. The healthier and stronger I get, the more I work my way back into dancing and other physical activities that I truly enjoy.

There's Hope for anyone out there who wants to.
